alright so its been forever since i've surfed Xangaland, i have a superlife now and who needs Xanga when one has Facebook and YouTube? um good stuff thats happened since August? Um, there have been lots of parties, i have extended my social network exponentially lol. i've been appointed to several nice positions in organizations on campus (Student Representative to Liberal Arts College Development Committee, Secretary of the NASPAAM[National Association for the Study and Performance of African American Music], MENC[National Music Educators Association], Mississippi Educators Association Vice President(student division), amognst other stuff my grades are still banging cause i'm an bloody GENIUS! and I'm chartering a Poetry Club for our campus. I've been REALLY successful with the spoken-word poetry thing this past year, and have been networking with other students on campus and found out, hey, its a bunch of other frustrated poets out there who do good stuff but have no venue or arena. so once we come up wit a name, and finish writing this blasted constitution required for starting student orgs, things can start popping. there's a place where a few friends and i go each weekend, Seven Studios, up the street from campus, its becoming my new home for their Open Mic nights, its such a family atmosphere notice i said "go" because i finally have a REAL CAR! hundreds of braided heads and refund checks later, your girl has a 1999 Nissan Altima, Silver!....that got SMACKED 4 days after she bought it. can't open the back driver's side door now , but who cares, i don't ride in the backseat, and i don't see the outside when i'm driving lol!!!!! after braiding all those heads, i now am a Licensed Braider. Now i can charge exhorbitant prices if i so please! marching and symphonic band still take u pa big portion of my life I'm now an Auxillary Pioneer, that is, one who spends 50 hours in the ministry/evangelism/bible education work each month. its a beast. i'm tired, but its a GOOD tired lol and my language count is going up. Russian, Spanish, Arabic...i'm doing good......... life is freakin FANTASTIC for me right now! except t hat mississippi just got a cold front out of this world that almost made me put on my winter jacket |
